Biblically Accurate Space Shooter

Shoot, collect, sell, upgrade, repeat! 

Biblically Accurate Space Shooter is an endless space shooter where your objective is getting a high score while having several limitations and difficulties you'd probably experience in real life (hence the name), yet keeping the feel of an arcade game.

BASS has some nontraditional features that give it an "old-school" feel:

• Looks:  BASS is fully built upon 2 colors: green and black. The graphics are incredibly simple, the biggest sprite taking up a mere 5kB (not counting logo).  The game has an aspect ratio of 4:3 imitating older monitors.
• Sound: All sound is in possibly the simplest form- either short cycle or triangle waves.
• Controls: The game is fully played with the keyboard, eliminating the need for a mouse.

Gameplay:

Your main source of income is selling scraps gathered from shooting asteroids. You can use your earnings to buy a variety of upgrades for your ship or essentials so you don't end up stranded in the cold vacuum.

You have a set of stats you need to pay attention to, each of which depleting can cause a LOT of trouble- running out of fuel will make you unable to move forward; running out of bullets will make you unable to shoot; running out of electricity will make you unable to rotate; running out of health will make you (obviously) explode. All of these will add additional challenge forcing you to manage your money.

If you save up enough money you can also spend them on upgrades that can make your overall session less difficult.
